Episode 25: Direct Modifying with Verbs and Adjectives!
안녕하세용 여러분~!! Please excuse my raspy voice and blocked nose; I've been ill with a cold and fever since Monday. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned feeling ill in my Website Launch video and everything went pretty much downhill from there. I've been bedridden the whole week :/ But I'm not going to be a Debbie-downer and think negatively about it because I got to rest and have my boyfriend take care of me, which was kinda nice :3 Also I'm not going to let this stupid cold stop me fro

Episode 24: ~는데 Explained!
안녕하세용~! Last week I was asked what are the uses of ~는데 and I was terrified of the thought of trying to explain it because it's just such a brain killer. It's honestly not that difficult, however it does require a certain knowledge and familiarity of Korean language and is mostly based on context. As much as I was afraid of this topic, I decided to be brave and tackle it head on with you guys, so here's what I came up with: ~는데 and ~는 데 are VERY different and mean TOTALLY diff

Episode 23: -서 as a Cause-and-Effect Particle!
안녕하세용~! -What does -서 do?-
This little particle has the power to merge two sentences into one, serving as a 'because' or a 'so' equivalent. This particle illustrates a cause and effect relationship between two clauses of the sentence. -Where does -서 stand in the sentence?-
-서 can be added to VERBS or ADJECTIVES, not nouns (!), in the 'cause' clause of the sentence. Basically, it'll all make sense in the examples :) Examples:
돈이 없어서 여행을 할 수 없어요- Because I don't have money, I

Episode 22: -에 and -에서 Explained!
Good morning lovelies! For some of you this topic may seem a little too easy but I always like to go back to the basics and make sure I understand why things are the way they are so today I decided to focus on our favourite topic and that is PARTICLES! Obviously we're not going to talk about all the particle cause that would take ages. Today let's just focus on 에 and 에서! -에 as Time marking particle: 일곱시에 일어났어요- I woke up at seven o'clock 친구가 금요일에 왔어요- My friend came over on F

HiNative: Global Q&A Language Exchange App Review!
안녕하세용~! This week I decided to review a very useful app, which can help you get comfortable with not only Korean but many other languages! This app is called HiNative and it is a global Q&A language exchange service available in over 120 languages! ~Weekly Korean~ Episode 21: 받침 Explained
안녕하세용~! I'm so so sorry for abandoning YouTube for like 2 weeks... or maybe even 3 weeks....... :O Second year of university proved to be much harder than I thought and I really had to get my mind out of everything, lock myself in my room and focus focus focus! Being the perfectionist I am, I just have to give it my 100%, which all you students should do too because studying is fun! :D (Yes, I'm that one weird nerdy person who loves to study) As for what we'll be covering tod

Episode 2: Tricky Vowels
안녕ㅇㅇㅇ 인구들ㄹㄹㄹㄹ! ^^ I'm sorry for a small delay, I was going to upload this video yesterday but it just took too long to edit because I had so much footage to go through! I guess I was just so eager to share everything I knew about this week's topic that I ended up with over 20 minutes of footage, so please forgive me! As for the theme of this week, it is VOWELS (모음 "mo-eum"). PRONUNCIATION GUIDE: 아- 'a' --> that sound we all make when we get a genius idea or suddenly understan

Learning Korean On-the-go: Useful Smartphone Apps
안녕~!!!! I'm pretty sure that the title of this video is self explanatory so without any unnecessary blabbering, here are all the apps that I've mentioned in the video (and maybe even a few that I didn't) : 1. Pop-Popping Korean (Free for Android and Apple) This beginner-friendly app mainly illustrates the pronunciation of the Korean alphabet through audio and animated demonstrations of mouth and tongue positions. Though the breadth of what the app teaches is rather limited, t
